We Do Things Differently

Testing is all about data

As a customer you want to know something about how a material or product will perform under certain conditions to make sound business decisions. The way to determine those conditions and what data to measure will depend upon whether you are testing to an existing specification or standard, or not. If there isn’t a specification to work to you need to consider how the test sample is going to be used “in service”, and how to replicate that as closely as possible within whatever constraints may exist (time, budget, number of test samples available, etc).

You are the expert on your product and application, Darvick is the expert on testing.

We work with you to guide you through the different test options for how to hold a sample, how to apply a force, how to control a test and any relevant environmental conditions, what to measure and where to measure it, in order to give you the most realistic and relevant data for you to make the right product or business decisions.

There can be different factors to consider for each enquiry

We work closely with our customers, offering as much or as little guidance as required to achieve the desired outcomes. There can be different factors to consider for each enquiry, ranging from cost, lead time, amount of material available, number of tests, how much information is available about the expected behaviour / performance, all of which need to be considered when putting together a specification and budget.

Jobs can either be a simple one-off static test, to an ongoing collaborative multi-year programme requiring the development of complex test systems, validation methods and evolving parameters as data is produced and evaluated.

Many of our direct industrial customers also have testing carried out through a network of leading UK Universities, where we can also support with the design and supply of test fixtures, instrumentation and environmental chambers.
